The Devonshire Arms Hotel - Buxton (Derbyshire)

Breakfast with good coffee. The location fantastic and stunning to the cafe next door. And really close to Sheffield, beautiful village centre with ease of parking, and the Devonshire Arms.

The hotel rooms were recently renovated and excellent sized with a delicious hearty breakfast and en-suite bathroom. We had coffee/tea making machines, refrigerators, and glassware.

The room was spacious, but the noise from adjoining rooms was disruptive.

Great location and cozy stay

We really enjoyed our stay! The room was gorgeous, and the shower was fine. The Tassimo coffee machine was a nice touch too. Only thing that let it down was the food, I had lasagna that I couldn't eat, remnants of mayo on my salad was a bit weird. Bar area was lovely, though!

The setting was idyllic, with the lovely village atmosphere enhancing our experience. Don't miss the onsite restaurant-amazing locally sourced dishes that are a real treat! Just a tip, book a room away from the main entrance for peace.

We had a lovely night at this charming spot after a great day at Chatsworth. The cozy leisure room and the relaxing outdoor seating really made our stay special. Just a small note, the breakfast could use a bit more variety, but overall, we absolutely enjoyed our time! 😊

The Beautiful Double Room featured a spacious layout, offering ample comfort for a couple. The decor added a nice touch to the aesthetic, setting a cozy vibe for the stay.

Shower issues impacted our experience, as it flooded due to a blocked filter and revealed mould on the tiles, suggesting a need for better maintenance. While dinner was pleasant, we faced an awkward time constraint of 1.5 hours at the table, which seemed unwarranted for our party size. Our TV was small and tricky to navigate, diminishing the in-room entertainment options.

The location is amazing, surrounded by fine countryside that makes every moment feel magical. Our room was spacious and immaculate, with cozy comforts like a plush bed and the best hot chocolate waiting for us! I can't rave enough about the staff. They remembered me from a previous visit and treated me like family!

It was just a strong match for a brief stopover in Hartington with attractive and competitive value for money. The dinner in the evening was lovely and served promptly. Make sure to check if ice is available for drinks before ordering.

Had a fun getaway with friends. We explored amazing walking trails nearby and enjoyed cycling around the scenic area. The accommodations were cozy and dog-friendly, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

We faced an issue with breakfast not arriving as promised, and the manager was rather abrupt about it at checkout.

The room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and had a Tassimo coffee machine with a great selection of drinks, which I really appreciated. The super nice team, keeping us informed about check-in and food options despite our late arrival. It would be nice if food service extended a bit later on Sundays.
